The innovative shunting diesel locomotive of TEM19 passed the performance tests in Egorshino's depot of Sverdlovsk Management of Draft. After successful performance tests the commission awarded the symbol "O1" to the set of construction and technological documentation and determined the size of a pilot batch as 50 locomotives.
The obtaining of the certificate of conformity will allow running the locomotive on the public railways, preparatory on the Sverdlovsk railroad. The main distinctive feature of the locomotive TEM19 is the gas engine working at the liquefied natural gas. The use of the natural gas allows reducing expenses significantly and increases the environmental friendliness of the locomotive.
The cabin of the locomotive is equipped with a set of the unified driving consoles produced by RATEP-INNOVATSIYA. This set is intended for managing the modes of the locomotive equipment and the control of the main and supporting systems of the locomotive. The cabin is also provided with a climate system and good ergonomic aspects.
